Life as it is...

Currently, my life is topsy turvy to say the least. Jeremy is picking up his stuff tomorrow finally. I won't have to look at it much longer, which sadly means the nice big tv is gone. As much as I did not like that he was purchasing it--without talking to me first albeit--I have grown attached to it.

On a much happier note. I am making headway into finishing my Master's degree. I will be done in December. Two more class this fall and then waalllaaa! Presto, its finished. Then I can start apply for positions.

The kids are doing great! Brook is excited about starting back to school and going to Disneyland in the fall. Connor is progressing in speech and is saying more and more everyday. Both kids are so much fun to be around.

Let's just see what tomorrow, and the day after and the day after that will bring. One day at a time and no more than that.

Cheers to all.

Today's fun

I am hoping that Taylor Motors will finally get my car fixed. I don't like riding around town with untrustworthy breaks. It is rather nerve-racking when I have the kids in the car.

Since, I am carless, I am hanging out with mom at EHS. Fun--fun with a little one. Brook is running around mom's library doing "ballet" to Rihanna's Umbrella song. I just hope this will wear her out and she will sleep for naptime.

Regina was in town with her "girls", Jasmine and Matilda.

Ms. Jasmine did not pause long enough to have her picture taken but here is Ms. Matilda Bean.

Well, all. Time for lunch. Adios!

My New Life

I am creating a new life for myself. On Monday I will 27 years old and working on my own independance. I have been worried about to many other people for way to long. Thanks to a good friend, I have realized that I need to learn to stand up for myself and do what makes me happy.

Goals for the next life:
  • Finish school
  • Gain employment
  • Being myself
  • Strong
  • Smart
  • Independent
  • True to my feminist roots
  • Opinionated

My friend will help me get there, heck we could be doing this together.

I am thankful for my friend, we have shared so much for many years now. Our lives are special to us. We are strong because of each other.

First Quarter Report

Well, the first quarter ran into the second quarter a little, since I did not post until late.

The Ashland/Shakespeare trip for the Mothers birthdays went well. Jeremy ended up not being able to go, so our hairdresser and friend Teresa went with us. It was very cold in the town--which we tried to prepare for, but when it is a nice 75+ in Redding and 40-45 degrees in Ashland, preparation is difficult. We made it into town with just enough time to grab a bite and get to the theatre. The play was GREAT. We saw a VERY MODERN version of a Mid Summer Nights Dream. The fairies were not wood fairies but homosexual fairies and by the end of the play the two couple (four main characters) were in nighties and boxers (basically they were barely covered by thin material). This was not what I was expecting but it was absolutely wonderful because I have seen the original version so many times that this was a fresh new version. After the play we checked into our hotel to find that 2 tour buses of high school kids were also staying the same hotel..ichy (hello...my mom works in a high school, my mother in law has a high school student at home still and I work/volunteer at the high school so we weren't to happy to have that many at the hotel with us. Tita was the only one who did not mind.) We had a nice mini-suite with a large bath, two queen beds, a roll away, a dining room table and a kitchenette. I am sure for Ashland it was considered a full suite, but for this girl it was only a mini-suite in my book. Once into the room and settled, we (but my mom) walked across the street to Safeway for alcohol and a small snack. I got my snack but found out that Oregon has state run liquor stores meaning alcohol can not be purchased in grocery stores. Fooey on that. We decided to just get dinner...restaurants have bars!! I stayed sober since my vertigo was acting up. Dinner was at a nice steak/pasta place. We ate our fill of everything and still had leftovers. After a short walk about the downtown area we stopped in at Munchies for dessert and then back to the hotel to warm up and put on jammies.

The next day we headed up to Medford to make the official trip to Harry and David's--which is a must have store to stop at. Then we went across the street to Fred Meyer for a little more shopping. What a sale! Holy cow! So far...so good. A small suggestion from MIL Pam lead us out to Jacksonville for lunch and more shopping. It was not as cold in J-ville, but we experienced the most unusual weather, partly cloudy skies, 50+ degrees and immediate breaks of snow or full sun...weird. I tried looking for information for Blue Fox Farm which is owned and operated by a good friend's brother and family, but no go. What a beautiful little town. I will add pictures once I download them from the camera. It is so easy to take the pictures but remembering to download and then upload is a pain.

To make sure we made it to McCloud in time for dinner we left J-ville by 2:45-3 pm. We filled up and headed south! Dinner was at The River Inn Grill and Bar which is owned and operated by Jer's uncle Scott and fiancee Aubry. It was a wonderful couple hours and then a final 45-60 minute drive down "the hill". I had originally picked everyone up before heading out of town, but with dad and Wayne (T's husband) meeting us in McCloud, I only brought MIL Pam home. Which was good because I was tired and wanted to get home and go to bed. What a wonderful, tiring and cold two days.

RENOOOO

Jeremy and I had a hotel voucher for two nights in Reno which we used as our 2nd anniversary get-away. We left on Monday and came home on Wednesday. It was a fairly uneventful trip---YEA--which was what the doctor called for. Neither of us had much of an appetite so sharing meals not only saved us money but was the best way to eat. Tuesday evening we had dinner with Jer's friend Rose and then went to Rum Bullion's for a little late night fun. We did a little gambling and left it all there...however Jer and I found that if you sit at a penny machine and play SLOWLY the cocktail waitress will just keep bringing drinks...yea. That was fun...nothing better in Reno than free alcohol.

LIFE SINCE RENO is a whole other story which will come later...

New Year

Welcome everyone to a new year. I am still wondering where 2007 went...So in preparation for a fast moving 2008...I am not taking a day off. This way I get all my school work, my matron of honor duties, my student teaching and all the other things I want to do DONE. Without saying, "darn, I wish that I did this one other task".

Keeping this in mind here is my list:
-Maintain and improve communications and my relationship with Jeremy
-Finish my Library degree with A's
-Passing my CSET exams
-Do my student teaching with being committed or killing a student
-Being a good matron of honor
-Attending all business conferences, parties and events
-Gaining 8 new business partners
-Maintaining 10 new clients
-Reading for enjoyment
-Holding as many garage sales as I need
-Having a rockin' experience with Brook and Connor in Disneyland
-Enjoy my mother and mother-in-law's birthday trip to Ashland

This seems to be about it. What a year!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Once again our eat-to-much, shop-to-much holiday is upon us. I hope everyone will be with loving friends and family for the day.

I have been hitting school hard, working around Jeremy's release from the Army and a move into our new place. We found a very new townhouse near Magen and the kids.

I finally was able to sign into this blog, so I thought I would make a quick post. I am currently watching TV with Jeremy, an episode of Numbers from this past week.

Good night, love to all.
